The Hinchman House
A landmark from 1893-1976

Logan, Logan County, West Virginia

In the background you can see the old
Logan Central Junior High School.

The Hinchman house was owned by
Doran Hinchman
It was envied by all of the students
(including me) as we walked by
the house every day on our way
to and from school.
The house burned sometime in the mid 1970's.
The fire was thought to have been
started by faulty wiring.

A smaller house was built on the lot and
served as Doran Hinchman's home
until the end of his life.

The smaller house has since been torn
down and an empty lot is all that is left.
