11-23-1937 to 06-04-2004
Dale Ashley passed away June 04, 2004.
I got to know Dale through email and talking on the phone.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Below is Dale's obituary sent to me by his sister, Rita Ashley Stanway.
Dale Ashley 67, of Bothell, Wa.
Born at Orville camp. WV.. Attended Logan High School class of '55.
Served 4 years in the U.S.A.F as a mechanic from 1955-1959.
Owned Dale Ashley's Phillips 66 station in Nashville, TN.
He was a Sargeant for the Nashville Police Reserve.
Worked as a coal miner for his father Harlen Ashley at Slagle, WV.
Dale moved to Seattle, WA. and worked as an AC mechanic at Pacific Lincoln & Olympic Mercury.
He became a business agent for Machinist Lodge #289 for 12 years He was also VP King County Labor Council, Boxing Commissioner, Judge and Inspector S.O.W., Comissioner Fire District 16, Kenmore, WA., Inspector Cal. boxing, member of WA. Pilots Assoc., Pro Wrestling Ref. and announcer.
Dale was survived by many relatives and friends. Memorial service was held at the Bothell United Methodist Church 18515 92 N.E. on June 26, 2004 at 2 P.M.
